What Changed? What Stayed the Same?

We can see changes from the First Civilization to the Second Civilization but we also see comparisons.

For instance, the Paleolithic and Neolithic eras had major changes in life. Nomadic people settled in villages; agriculture was developed; cities made. Now in the modern era, the pace of life is faster. Cities are no longer "foreign". They are the new norm and the way many people live these days. 

But if we think back, Buddhism and Christianity while new, they had a similarity to Hinduism and Jewish religious thinking. 

Slavery remained an important feature in civilization and remained important in the modern times. Slavery never ended and "race" continues to be a world wide problem to this day. 

While there have been differences and we can see the differences, major problems still happen to this day that happened in the past. Wars about religion about race continue.
